Grantmakers for Thriving Youth is a diverse funder’s forum building a robust community of grantmakers working in coordination to help youth thrive.

We know from scientific research that academic learning is inseparable from the development of a broad range of skills and capabilities every member of society needs to flourish. Established in 2016, Grantmakers for Thriving Youth (GTY) is a diverse funder’s forum building a robust and welcoming community of grantmakers working in coordination across key disciplines to help youth thrive. They do this by advancing a comprehensive approach to learning and development that will enable all young people to acquire the skills and capacities needed for success in learning, work, citizenship, and life.
GTY is designed to provide grantmakers with a continuum of options for participation, from shared learning and coordination to collaborative action. GTY promotes awareness, facilitates connections, catalyzes collaborations, and disseminates knowledge about policies, practices, and research among funders in education, child and youth development, family well-being, health, and other allied fields.
